and applications (the “Services”) is at all times subject to the

Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the
("Personal Information") that we gather when you are accessing or using our
Services, but not the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or

from our users, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal
Information in connection with our Services, including to allow you to set up
a user account and profile, to contact you and allow other users to contact you,
to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to personalize,
provide, analyze, and improve our Services. We also share certain Personal Information
with third parties, but only as described below.

Information You Provide to Us
We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example,
through the registration process and/or through your account settings, we collect
Personal Information such as your name, email address, home and work addresses,
and your phone number.
Information Collected Automatically
Whenever you interact with our Services, we automatically receive and record information
from your browser or device, which may include your IP address, device identification,
session identification, “cookie” information, the type of browser and/or device you’re
using to access our Services, the page or feature you requested, and often your geolocation.
We use the information we collect from users for a variety of reasons, including, but not
limited to, the following:
- Connect Riders with Drivers to communicate and facilitate the Services;
- Provide, improve, expand, and promote the Services;
- Analyze how the Scoop community uses the Services in order to foster a great experience;
Communicate with you via email or SMS/text, either directly or through one of our partners,
including for marketing and promotional purposes (if you do not wish to receive marketing or
promotional communications from us, you can unsubscribe from emails via the link on our last
communication to you, and unsubscribe from SMS/text by replying “STOP” to the last SMS text message you received);
- Personalize the Scoop experience for you and your friends and contacts;
- Send you text messages and push notifications;
- Facilitate payments;
- Provide you with customer support;
Respond to trust and safety issues that may arise, including auto incidents, disputes
between Riders and Drivers, and requests from government authorities.
Additionally, we use the information we collect from Drivers to determine a Driver’s eligibility to drive with Scoop.
A. Sharing Between Users
At Scoop, we want to provide you with a great commuting experience and introduce you to our
community. To facilitate this experience, certain Personal Information is available to Scoop
and other users on your profile, such as your name, employer, and photo.
After being matched with another Scoop user, we share additional Personal information with
them, such as your location, work and/or home address, and your contact information to ease
the logistics of your trip.
B. Sharing Between Scoop and Third Parties
Affiliated Partners. Scoop sells to and partners with enterprise organizations, governmental entities,
business parks, and other organizations (together, our “Affiliated Partners”) to bring Scoop’s Services
to more locations and more people. If you participate in an Affiliated Partner program, such as a Scoop
carpool program sponsored by your employer, we share certain information about your use of the Services,
such as frequency of usage, or feedback about the Services with the Affiliated Partner to help them
understand the value of Scoop. When we share this information, we will never link you or your personal
information directly with a specific trip’s detail (i.e. your trip time or non-work trip locations).
If you change organizations such that you are no longer affiliated with an Affiliated Partner program,
it is your responsibility to update your account with your new information.
Integration Partners. Scoop has two types of integration partners: ones to which you voluntarily
connect your Scoop account, and others to which Scoop independently connects. In each case, we may share
information about your use of our Services with the partner, and may receive certain content and/or information
about you from the partner in order to improve our Services to you and our Affiliated Partners. The information
we share may include any information that you authorize Scoop to obtain or transmit over time, as well as any
information we collect automatically.
Third Party Services. The Services may allow you to connect with other websites, products, or services.
If you use these services, we will provide the third party with information about you to allow them to provide
the service to you. We can’t speak to the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to read
their privacy policies before deciding whether to use their services.
By using our Services, you agree to be bound by the applicable privacy policies for the third party services
described in this section. For example, for some of our Services, we use Google’s Maps API(s) and share your
from time to time, the current version of which is incorporated herein by reference and available
Service Providers. We employ and partner with other companies and people to perform tasks on our
behalf and need to share your information with them to provide the Services to you; for example, we use a
payment processing company to receive and process your credit card transactions for us. Unless we tell you
to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.
Other Sharing. We may share your information with third parties in the following cases:
While negotiating or in relation to a change of corporate control such as a restructuring, merger or
sale of our assets; for example if Scoop (or its assets) are acquired or if Scoop goes out of business,
enters bankruptcy, or undergoes some other change of control, Personal Information may be one of the
assets transferred or acquired by a third party;
If a government authority requests information and we think disclosure is required or appropriate in
order to comply with laws, regulations, or a legal process;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Scoop, our employees, our users, or others;
If you signed up for a promotion with another user’s referral or promotion code, with your referrer to let
them know about your redemption of or qualification for the promotion;
To provide information about the use of Scoop to potential business partners in aggregated or de-identified
form that can’t reasonably be used to identify you; and
- Whenever you consent to the sharing.
Our Services require certain Personal Information to be shared with third parties in order to facilitate the Service.
There is certain other information you can opt not to disclose to us, but keep in mind some information may be needed
to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
You may be able to add, update, or remove information on your public profile. Some information will remain in our
records after you update or delete such information from your account; we may use any such data after you update
or delete it for, among other reasons, analytics purposes and when other data still references this information.
