Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Scoop has won several categories in Comparably’s Best Places to Work Awards in 2019, out of tens of thousands of companies across the United States. It’s an honor to be named alongside many of the most dynamic and inspiring organizations across the country redefining what it means to be a best place to work.

The winners of Comparably’s annual awards received the highest ratings by employees who provided anonymous feedback on a variety of workplace culture questions, ranging from their work environment, compensation, diversity, inclusion, leadership, and more.

In 2019, Scoop won the following awards for a company of our size:

Our people define our culture

We don’t view these as just awards for our company—they’re for our team. Our people are by far our greatest asset and the biggest reason for our collective success.

At Scoop, our core values power our culture. From “taking a bet on ourselves and the team,” to “being open, honest, and direct in everything we do,” and “giving a good push”—these values empower the team to work better together and recognize when they can iterate and improve.

Our team’s diversity drives our success

Our people are the driving force behind bringing our mission to life: bringing co-workers and neighbors together in commutes they love by partnering with their employers. Since the inception of Scoop, we’ve promised to do everything we can to create a culture where people are empowered to do their best work while bringing their full, authentic selves to the office. That’s why we orient every single step we take as a company toward the people who work every day to bring Scoop to life for our carpoolers and customers.

Building great culture is a process

The truth is that building a diverse and inclusive team is a commitment that has no end date. Our goal is to make Scoop a place where people from all backgrounds and walks of life feel included, supported, and recognized for their work. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made—reflected in these awards today—but we know that this is just another step toward building a sustainably inclusive company culture. For us, earning a spot on this year’s list out of a record number of applicants isn’t just an honor—it’s a promise to keep building a supportive and inclusive culture for everyone.
